Let's start with firm suggestions. For example: 'We should launch this product next
quarter.' Direct and clear. Another: 'You must revise the report by
end of day.' Now, how do we make these suggestions more flexible?
First, use past forms or Type 2 conditionals. This immediately softens
your proposal, inviting discussion rather than demanding action. Try: 'Perhaps we could
explore this option.' The word 'could' makes it less demanding and more open for input.
