Unwelcome Memories Resurface

“She ignored us for years… then returned screaming about the stuff she refused.”

Part 3 I’m in the backyard when my neighbor calls me over. He’s standing with

a younger woman — the daughter who grew up in our house. She thanks us for giving the photos

to the neighbor. Then immediately asks about the tools and cooking supplies. I tell her honestly:

We sold them. She EXPLODES — yelling that those items were precious to her parents.

I remind her we tried for years to return them. She calls me a liar. Then calls me a

bitch. Next, she asks to come inside the house “for old times’

sake.” I said no — because of how she treated us then, and now.
