Visual Proof of Binomial Expansion

Explaining algebra with paper and colors makes everything click. Draw a horizontal

line, mark point A, then point B. Now create a perfect square using A plus

B as the side length. Inside this square, draw lines to split it into four sections. Color the top left

square red for A squared. Bottom right square gets blue for B squared.

The two rectangles in between, color them green for A times B. Notice how the total

area equals A squared plus two A B plus B squared. That's the formula visually proven.

The red and blue squares show the squared terms while the green rectangles show why we multiply

A B by two. Math becomes art when you see the geometry behind the algebra.
