When silence falls where once the free mind spoke. And reason's flame lies buried in

the dust. Where fear becomes the law, and truth a joke.

And all that's just is sacrificed to lust. Still in the dark a candle

dares to glow. A flicker born from books and songs and dreams. From voices drowned

beneath the tyrant's show. From whispered truths that slip through crooked schemes.

The siege may choke the river at its source. But thought will find new springs

beneath the stone. For minds once stirred will take a rebel cause. And fire once

shared is never quiet alone. Though tyrants thrive when learning is confined.
