I’m a 29M living in a quiet apartment complex. Moved here after a breakup,

hoping for peace. Three months in, my downstairs neighbor — a woman in her 60s — kept knocking

on my door at random hours. “Please stop screaming in the middle of the night.”

I laughed the first time. I sleep like a rock. Definitely not a sleep-screamer.

But she insisted she heard it through the vents. I brushed it off… until the building

manager emailed me about noise complaints at 3AM. “Male screaming.” I told them I had
