Walked Out Over Unpaid Loan

Am I the ahole for walking out on my best friend’s wedding? I’m 24M and my best friend is 25M.

We’ve known each other since high school and were basically brothers. Last weekend,

I attended his wedding — one I was supposed to stand in as his groomsman. Everything was going

fine until the reception started. During the speeches, I overheard my best friend talking to

his new wife about a huge secret: he’d borrowed a large sum of money from me six months ago

for his apartment and never told anyone. But instead of paying me back or even mentioning it,

he decided to spend it on the wedding without asking. I confronted him quietly at the reception,

and he laughed it off, saying, ‘It’s my wedding, just forget it.’
