In 1304, King Edward I faced one of the toughest castles in Scotland,
Stirling Castle. The defenders refused to surrender, so Edward unveiled a secret weapon:
Warwolf, the largest trebuchet ever built. It was so massive it took
nearly three months just to assemble. When the Scots finally saw it completed,
they actually tried to surrender— but Edward refused. He wanted to see the Warwolf
in action. One single shot shattered the castle walls. The defenders survived…
but the message was clear: no fortress on Earth could stand against the Warwolf.
