What Happens when you open your browser, add a URL and visit: 1. The browser checks

its cache and see if it has an IP address associated with the URL that you typed for e.g.

when you type google.com, it would check its IP address. Think of it as when you want to dial

someone, you search for their name and phone checks its reference phone number from its

contact list state and dials that number. This step is called DNS resolution. If it doesn’t find

that, it would request from your ISP 1. After identifying

IP address, it would do a handshake with the web server 1. It then sends an

HTTP Request 2. Server process the request and return the content
