What If the Earth Stopped Spinning?

Imagine this: one day, Earth suddenly stops rotating. Right now,

our planet is spinning at about 1,670 kilometers per hour at the equator. If it stops instantly,

everything on the surface will keep moving forward at that speed. Buildings collapse,

trees fly, and super winds sweep across the land. Oceans rush out

of their basins, causing massive floods across continents. The ground shakes with powerful earthquakes.
