What it means to be a Christian

When people hear the words Christian righteous, they often think of a perfect person

who never makes a mistake. But the truth of the gospel is far more gracious than

that. First, what does it mean to be a Christian? Simply put,

a Christian is a person who has put their faith in Jesus Christ, believing that he

is the Son of God and has chosen to follow him. It is an identity founded on a relationship,

not on flawless behavior. The Bible is very clear. All have sinned

and fall short of the glory of God. That means Christians are not perfect. We are still human.

We still struggle. We still make mistakes. To pretend otherwise is to miss the whole point of our faith.
