What We Lost: The Ambitions for Perfect Dark

This wasn't just another canceled game. It was supposed to be Xbox's next

big leap, a Deus ex style immersive sim starring Joanna Dark in a future dystopia.

Even though we all had mixed feelings about the game and some of the development choices,

I don't think anyone truly wanted it to go down like this. The Initiative had

big ambitions; parkour, stealth, datadyne intrigue, and high-end FPS gameplay.

So it's a massive loss for anyone who actually believed that Xbox was going to pull through

for their promises.
