When Humans Become Prey

Humans aren't at the top of the food chain everywhere. Crocodiles actively hunt people and

kill hundreds every year in rivers across Africa and Asia. Saltwater crocs are the deadliest.

Sharks have caused fatal attacks worldwide with great whites being responsible for most.

Lions and tigers have become man-eaters throughout history especially when old or injured.

Polar bears are one of the few animals that actually stalk humans as prey. Komodo dragons have

killed and consumed people on Indonesian islands. Reticulated pythons have swallowed humans

whole in Southeast Asia. Then there are the scavengers. African driver ants

can strip flesh in hours if you can't move. Pigs have eaten human bodies.
