Psychopaths don't wear masks in real life like they do in movies. I spent two years
researching criminal psychology and discovered something unsettling. The traits that make fictional villains
compelling are the same ones that help people climb corporate ladders. Superficial charm,
strategic thinking, emotional detachment. I once worked with someone who checked every box.
Charismatic, ambitious, zero empathy. Everyone loved them until they didn't.
The psychology behind these characters reveals an uncomfortable truth about human nature.
We're drawn to confidence and power, even when it comes without conscience. What terrifies me
isn't that psychopaths exist. It's that we've built systems that reward their behavior.
