Who Protects the Child?

Who guards the gates when the wolves are inside? Papers get stamped, but the tears

don't hide. In the halls of justice where shadows reside. A child cries

out, but the echoes deny it. The courts shuffle the pieces,

they call it "law". Tearing at the seams, exposing the flaw.

Silent screams stitched into the night. Who's supposed to protect the child when the system's

not right? A courtroom gavel falls like a guillotine. Splitting homes like

a violent dream. Lies told for the sake of gain. But who's left

to bear the pain? They call it justice, but it's abuse.
