Why Are Boys Treated Like Inmates

Why is it that ONE teacher acts like she lost a WAR to the boys in our class.

She walks in, scans the room, sees a boy breathing, and goes, “Okay.

New rule.” “All boys will now be sitting SEPARATELY.” LIKE MA’AM??? Did we form a gang

overnight??? Girls are over there sharing snacks, laughing, planning a vacation—

but the boys? We’re spaced out like prison inmates. A boy drops a pencil and she’s like,

“That’s exactly why you’re separated.” Every lesson turns into a lecture about “certain students,”

and somehow the seating chart is a PERSONAL ATTACK. At this point I’m not even learning.

I’m just sitting alone, silent, wondering what we did in a past life.
