Why do lips crack and peel so easily while the rest of your face survives
the same cold air? Lips are different skin. They’re thinner and
lose water faster. They also have fewer oil glands than most skin, so there’s less
natural protection. Cold air plus wind plus indoor heat usually mean low humidity so
moisture evaporates quickly. The trap: licking your lips feels helpful, but saliva evaporates
and can dry them out more. A simple fix is a thick balm or ointment
that seals in moisture especially before bed and before going outside. And don’t forget
SPF sun can damage lips even in winter. If you like quick body explanations
