Why Saying 'Death is a Stage of Life' is Cruel

And you know what? Uh, that ha- that thinking reaches the height of idiocy when the

thinking says, "Death is just a stage of life." That's about as dumb as saying to

a quadriplegic, "Paralysis is just a stage of exercise." No. Paralysis is not a stage of exercise.

Paralysis is the opposite of exercise. And to say to a quadriplegic, "Oh,

don't worry about your paralysis, it's, it's just a stage of exercise," that's

cruelty and insensitivity. Similarly, to say that death is just a stage of life is cruel.

Death is not a stage of life, it's the end of life.
