Why Science Can’t Prove Truth

You can never actually prove a scientific theory is one hundred percent true. This philosophy

class completely wrecked my understanding of reality. It starts with Auguste Comte who was obsessed

with hard facts, basically saying if you can't measure it, it doesn't matter.

Then Wittgenstein doubled down, saying you need to verify everything visually to make

it real. But then Karl Popper flipped the script with falsification. He realized you

can't check every single raven to prove they are all black. Instead,

you have to hunt for the white one. Science isn't about proving you are right,

it is about trying to prove yourself wrong and failing.
