William Wordsworth was born in 1770 in the Lake District. He studied at Cambridge and later went to
France, where he supported the French Revolution and met Annette Vallon,
with whom he had a daughter. After the violence of the Revolution, he returned to England
and found comfort in his sister Dorothy and his friend Coleridge. He lived most of his life in Grasmere,
where he married Mary Hutchinson and had five children. He became Poet Laureate in 1843 and died
in 1850. His main works include Lyrical Ballads, Poems in Two Volumes ,
and The Prelude. Wordsworth believed poets should use simple language and talk about ordinary
people and nature. He thought deep emotions come from simple rural life. His creative process
