Writing Chapter One

We started out as strangers, different stories, different ways. Trying to find

our rhythm through the noise of busy days. And one small act became another,

a glance of smile, a hand held tight. Now we move

like one heartbeat under golden morning light. It's not the rules that bind

us, it's the love inside the lines. Every checklist, every promise,

writes another rhyme. 'Cause when we count the names, we count on each other.

Every face, every hand, every sister and brother. Keeping kids safe,

keeping dreams alive. That's the reason we all arrive in this place where trust's begun.
