West Africa. 1900. The Asante Empire stands on the edge of collapse.

The British have exiled the king. Colonial soldiers patrol the streets. And now the governor

makes his final demand. He wants the Golden Stool. The sacred throne.

The soul of the Asante people. The chiefs gather in silence. They know what British

rifles can do. They hesitate. They look away. Then Yaa Asantewaa rises.

Queen Mother of Ejisu. She speaks words that will echo through history.

If the men will not fight, then I will lead the women. We will take up

arms. We will defend what is sacred. She takes command. She organizes warriors.
