You're Next in the Library

Evelyn crept through the dark mansion, clutching her flashlight. “Did you hear that?” whispered Marcus

behind her. A distant scream echoed from the second floor. The chandelier swayed

as if someone had touched it. Evelyn froze, noticing a trail of blood leading

to the library. Marcus grabbed her arm. “We shouldn’t go in… but we have

to.” They pushed the heavy door open. A lifeless body lay sprawled across

the floor, eyes wide in terror. A crumpled note in one hand read: “You’re next.”

Evelyn’s flashlight flickered. Marcus took a step forward… and vanished. She called his name,

but only silence answered. A shadow moved across the room. A whisper hissed:
