A Friend's Unexpected Sacrifice

My best friend borrowed my car last Tuesday and returned it with a full tank of gas,

which was weird because she's usually broke. She also cleaned it inside and out,

even detailed the rims. I thought she was just being nice after that fight

we had about her ex boyfriend. But then I found a receipt in the glove compartment

for a car wash in a town three hours away. The same town where my ex lives.

The same ex who's been texting me saying he misses me. I confronted her

about it and she broke down crying, admitting she drove there to tell him to leave me alone
