Armored Fish and the Rise of Jaws

Some of the earliest fish didn’t look like fish at all. They had no jaws. No teeth.

And their bodies were covered in armor. These ancient creatures survived in dangerous

seas, using hard shells instead of speed to stay alive. Over millions of

years, something changed. Jaws appeared. Fins grew stronger. And fish began to

dominate the oceans. Every shark, salmon, and tuna alive today traces its history

back to those early armored swimmers. And without them… life on land might never have existed.
