The first woman ever put on the FBI's most-wanted list has died, and her story is
absolutely wild. Her name was Assata Shakur, and she was Tupac Shakur's godmother.
Back in 1973, Assata, a member of the Black Liberation Army,
was involved in a traffic stop that turned into a shootout with New Jersey state police.
A state trooper was killed, and Assata was wounded. Four years later, she was convicted
of murder and sentenced to life in prison. But this is where it gets crazy. In 1979,
just two years into her sentence, members of the Black Liberation Army helped her escape
from prison. She fled to Cuba, where Fidel Castro granted her asylum, and she lived there
