after the Great Depression. Farmers were already in trouble… and then came 20,000

emus. These giant birds invaded farmlands, destroyed crops, broke fences,

and vanished before anyone could stop them. So the government did something insane.

They sent the army. Real soldiers. With machine guns. The mission? Eliminate the emus.
