That movie about fighting beauty standards is actually part of the problem. Think about it:
in the film *Misbehaviour*, they show Keira Knightley with a “natural” face that took hours of makeup
to create. They're selling us an impossible version of what a bare face looks
like, contributing to the exact pressure they're supposedly against.
Then, they create this fake choice: you're either a glamorous pageant girl or
a frumpy rebel. You can care about how you look, or you can have opinions.
It's a lie. Films tell you to choose between your lip gloss and your logic,
but you should be able to have it all.
