Beyond Desire and Aversion

Lord Krishna now points to the root cause of human confusion. He says: “Born from desire

and aversion, O Arjuna, all beings enter this world deluded by duality.”

This one verse quietly explains why life feels like a constant tug-of-war. We like something

— we chase it. We dislike something — we resist it. Attraction and rejection. Hope and fear.

Pleasure and pain. From the very moment of birth, the mind is pulled between these opposites.

And caught in this push and pull, we lose clarity. Krishna calls this dvandva-moha —

the delusion created by opposites. We think happiness comes from getting what we want…

and suffering comes from what we avoid. So we spend our lives reacting — running toward desire,
