Breathing in the Dark

I packed up the boxes. Left the keys on the table.

You slammed the door once, said. "Fix it if you're

able" Bills on the counter. Red ink on every page.

Love turned to numbers. We bled out on the way.

I lost love. I lost money. I lost family. I lost every familiar piece of

gravity. But I'm still here, breathing in the dark.

Yeah. I lost half of the world that used to carry me.

But there's something in the ashes still embarrassing. The fear in my chest,
