We're literally sending a nuclear fission reactor to the moon on our first trip.
Our mining rover needs some serious juice to start digging for water locked inside the lunar
soil. The plan is to use a RASSOR rover to mine 75kg of regolith an hour,
which should get us about 250kg of water per year. The first lander drops the reactor
and the mining gear. The next mission brings the giant storage tanks for water,
hydrogen, and oxygen, plus a solar array for backup. It's a step-by-step
process. We're not just visiting; we're building an entire factory on the moon.
