The promise that wasn't kept. Someone said they'd follow up. You waited.
Nothing came. You didn't want to chase, so you moved on with a little less
trust than before. In teams, trust isn't built by grand gestures. It's built or broken
by what we do next. Trust is the belief that others will act with integrity, care,
and consistency. Accountability is the practice of owning our actions and following through.
Together, they create the conditions for safety, clarity, and momentum.
A teammate says, "I'll send the draft by Friday." And they do. Now I know I can
count on them. That's trust in action, built through consistency. A mistake happens.
