Calculating AI in Pokémon Battles

The Pokémon AI you're fighting knows your entire team's stats, moves, and abilities from

the very start. It isn't guessing; it's calculating. Every turn, the AI scores all

its moves and picks the highest one. A normal strong attack is worth about +6 points.

But if that move guarantees a KO and the AI is faster than you? That's a "fast kill,"

and it's worth a massive +12 points. This is why it always seems to go for the throat.

It even gets desperate, giving priority moves an +11 boost if it's about to lose.
