plate armor, was designed to protect warriors from swords, arrows,
and other medieval weapons. It was effective for its time because it could absorb
and distribute the force of cutting or piercing attacks. Modern bullets, however,
travel much faster than any medieval weapon. A typical handgun bullet can exceed
1,000 feet per second, and rifles are even faster. The kinetic energy of these bullets
is far greater than what traditional armor was designed to handle. Even the strongest
