Clapping at Landing: A Dealbreaker

I stopped seeing someone because he clapped when the plane landed. We'd been talking

for three weeks. Everything felt easy. He texted back quickly, asked real questions,

remembered small things I mentioned. When he suggested we fly to visit his college friend's

wedding together, I thought it was bold but sweet. The flight was smooth. We laughed,

shared headphones, held hands during takeoff. Then we touched down,

and he started clapping. Loud, enthusiastic clapping. Like a child at a magic show.

I felt my stomach drop harder than the plane ever did. I know pilots train for years.

I know landing is literally their job. But watching him celebrate a basic
