Coming Home from the Sea

. I looked up to the sky, saw shimmers glowing in the dark.

Ancient lights that never hurry, burning steady where they are. Oh,

and awe comes over me, I feel it through the bending waves.

My whole self shudders, slowly waking, humbled in terrors grace.

Their faithful blaze feels old and wise. I ache to rise and find

home among their lights. A whisper threads then I like song

but loyal to the water I let it drift on. Down here the

sea keeps me close, says stay in my depths and you'll grow.
