Coral reefs are the rainforests of the ocean, packed with life in less than 0.2%

of ocean space. But rising temperatures are destroying them. When water heats just half a degree

above normal, coral literally evict their algae partners who give them food and color.

It's like kicking out your chef because the kitchen got too hot. The coral turn white,

starve, and can die within weeks. We've already lost 19% of all reefs,

and another 15% are critically threatened. These aren't just pretty underwater gardens.

They protect coastlines, feed 500 million people, and generate billions in tourism.
