Mele accidentally signs a warlock pact where a fey creature gets a cut of his future

gains. He can't break the contract, so he decides to financialize it.

He starts bundling other people's soul-debts and trading them like stocks. The plan is to become

a god because gods are tax-exempt. He pumps the value of his patron to create a bubble,

but his partner shorts the market and detonates the whole system. The economy collapses,

the Elves buy the bankruptcy for pennies, and Mele is technically a god now, but the Elves just

handed him a new bill for twenty percent.
