Cristina Scabbia Criticizes AI Music Creators, ‘Don’t Call Yourself an Artist’

Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia said she strongly dislikes music made with artificial

intelligence. She explained that real artists take time to create music with emotion,

mistakes, and human feeling, while AI mainly copies ideas for business.

Scabbia said typing a prompt like “make a song that sounds like Lacuna Coil” is not real creativity

and should not be called art. She believes streaming platforms should reject AI-made music

to protect real musicians and human creativity.
