Crowned in Ash

The coal is gone. The fire is cold. All my Marble

stained in shades of slate. The ivory towers buckle under weight. I watch my

empire turn to ghost and bone. A silent queen upon a splintered throne.

It's coming for us. The shroud is rising like a valley tide.

There is nowhere left for the light to hide. I'm breathing in

the smoke of all I've known. Now I finally claim my own.

I don't need the gold. I don't need the light. I am the

daughter of the endless night. Burn the velvet. Let the embers crash.
