Daniel’s Faithfulness in Babylon

“Daniel was taken as a young man into captivity in Babylon, surrounded by a culture that pressured

him to abandon his faith. Yet Daniel resolved in his heart not to defile himself

and remained obedient to God (Daniel 1). Through prayer and wisdom, God raised Daniel

to positions of influence. When a law was passed banning prayer, Daniel continued

praying to God—and was thrown into the lions’ den (Daniel 6). But God shut the

lions’ mouths and delivered him. Daniel’s life teaches us this: faithfulness does not depend

on circumstances. When we remain loyal to God, He remains faithful to us—no matter

the cost.”
