You are literally walking around with an instruction manual inside every single cell of your body.
It’s called DNA, and it’s just four letters—A, T, C,
and G—paired up in a twisted ladder. This code tells ribosomes to build proteins that make
you, well, you. Your cells are constantly cloning themselves
through mitosis to keep you alive, but sometimes the system glitches. If a mutation messes
up the code, cells stop listening to instructions and start dividing uncontrollably,
which is exactly how cancer starts. It’s crazy to think your entire existence depends on microscopic
spell-checking.
