El Cid: Hero of the Middle Ages

Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, called "El Cid Campeador," was a hero of the Spanish Middle Ages.

He was born into a noble family but from a young age he was brave and strong.

He fought in many battles to defend his land from Muslim invaders and to protect the Christian

kingdoms. El Cid was known for his honor, intelligence, and loyalty.

He had a famous horse named Babieca, who accompanied him in all his victories. One of the most

famous stories says that, after dying, his body was placed on Babieca to scare
