Clock at eleven. Hand shaking on the wall. Headlines like siren. Another kingdom falls.

They circle our houses. Spitting curses at the door. We kneel on

the floorboards, like soldiers on the shore. I feel the breath on the

back of my neck. Shadows chant waiting for a wreck. But my knees

hit stone and the fear burns off. I know whose name cuts through

the dark! We live in the eleventh hour. Kneel before the cross in the

fire. Pray to the most higher, oh! The sun is
