Erasing Himself

She wiped his name off the mailbox. Tore his photos from the frame.

Painted over all the memories like he never had a claim. Everyone that once

lived in feels like a crime scene, scrub clean. She deleted him

from the story like he was something obscene. Now he walks through the world

like a shadow. Fury burning cold in his chest. If she can pretend he never

existed, then maybe he'll make the rest forget. So he's erasing

himself from everyone. Cutting every tie to the whole world's done. If she can

turn him into nothing overnight, he'll finish the job and fade out of sight.
