F1 is Getting Rid of DRS

The 2026 machines will be smaller, lighter, and more agile. The long,

heavy cars we see today are being shortened and slimmed down to improve racing and make

wheel-to-wheel battles easier. This alone should bring back more aggressive driving

and fewer follow-the-leader races. Aerodynamics are also getting a major rethink.

DRS is gone. Instead, Formula 1 is introducing active aerodynamics with movable front

and rear wings. Drivers will be able to switch between low drag and high downforce modes

depending on whether they're attacking or defending. This makes overtaking more natural,

more strategic, and far less predictable.
