Family Ties and Broken Promises

My parents gave my stepsister everything while I got nothing growing up. She got the college

fund, the car, the birthday parties. I got hand me downs and forgotten promises.

So I left at eighteen with two hundred dollars and built a tech company from my garage.

Seven years later I'm worth forty million dollars. Last week my parents showed up at my

office for the first time ever. They didn't ask how I was doing or say they were

proud. They said my stepsister wants to start a business and needs three million dollars.

My dad said family helps family. I looked at him and said you're right,

family does help family. That's why I have no idea who you people are.
