Fiona and the Fernbrae Fairies

Fiona had just turned ten, and ever since her birthday, she felt a new kind

of bravery growing inside her. Early one morning she dressed quickly and ran outside.

Today was the day she would explore the magical Fernbrae Forest and, just maybe,

she would discover something wonderful. Fiona took a deep breath then started down the path that

led into the forest. As she walked, her heart began to beat with excitement. Fiona followed the

path deep into the Forrest when suddenly, she heard a strange sound. She turned to see

what it was and could not believe her eyes. A tiny gray fairy was flying in the

air above her. The fairy spoke kindly and said, "Please don’t be afraid.
