The ground you are standing on is actually floating on a liquid metal ocean that spins.
When that crust snaps, it’s not just one big shake. First you get P-waves
that push and pull, then S-waves come in shaking side-to-side. But the real nightmare is the Surface Wave
because it literally rolls the ground like the sea and tears buildings apart.
Just remember the Focus is deep underground where the rock breaks, while the Epicenter is just the target
on the surface. We are basically riding a giant, unstable jawbreaker through space.
