Fragmented Code

Vicente used to be one of the sharpest minds in UC frontier engineering until a single experiment

shattered him from the inside out. He volunteered for a neural control program that would

let pilots operate industrial exosuits with their thoughts alone, no delays,

no lag, just pure intention translated into machine action. During a calibration

trial, something went catastrophically wrong. The feedback loop inverted.

Instead of reading his mind, the suit wrote into it. Raw data flooded

his neural pathways like a virus injecting code into flesh. Vicente collapsed inside the suit,

locked rigid, convulsing as his brain tried to parse commands it was never meant to understand.
