From Gilded Age to New Deal

The top one percent owning everything isn't a new concept, it is literally how modern American

history started. You need to lock in on the Progressive Era where Rockefeller and Carnegie were

hoarding wealth while Upton Sinclair was exposing how gross the meat industry was.

Then we pivoted to Imperialism and WWI where the government controlled the economy and Wilson tried

to save the world with Fourteen Points that Europe basically ignored. The twenties were

a total party with flappers and the Harlem Renaissance until the bubble burst.

Next thing you know, everyone is living in Hoovervilles until FDR drops the New Deal to

fix the economy with Social Security.
